About Richard’s Country Kitchen

Richard’s Country Kitchen commenced producing healthy organic sugar free gluten-free pickles relishes chutney and preserves in 2009.

Richard decided that city life was not for him and his wife so they undertook a “Tree Change” and moved to Kumbia in the fertile area of the South Burnett region of Queensland.

Richard’s Country Kitchen came about for two reasons:

  1. Richard is a diabetic and was frustrated by not being able to buy pickles without copious quantities of sugar been added.
  2. Richard loves gardening and grew vegetables commercially before retirement

The slogan “From Seed to Jar” indicates that I follow the whole process from seed to jar and no exactly what’s in each and every jar. I use no chemical spray in the garden. I choose to use Xylitol – a natural sweetener found in Birch bark and not any artificial sweeteners.

Xylitol is also found in humans and we produce about 20 gms per day.

We know that whatever you purchase from the range, it will be the highest possible quality.

Please feel free to contact Richard if you have any questions. We appreciate any feedback as it allows us to constantly monitor and improve the product.

Richard’s Country Kitchen is located in Kumbia, a small town nestled into the foothills of the Bunya Mountains, on the Bunya Highway, between the Mountains and Kingaroy. Kumbia is well worth a stop on your trip through the South Burnett region.

Gluten Free, No Added Sugar, No Added Salt, No Preservatives, No Artificial Colours or Flavourings, No Artificial Sweetener, Natural Sweetener

Caution: EXCESSIVE consumption of Xylitol may have a laxative effect.

Caution: Do not feed any product that contains Xylitol to dogs, it lowers their blood sugar too low which can be fatal to the dog NOT Humans.
